Shipping and delivery
How long does shipping take? All orders are processed within 1–3 business days, Monday through Friday. Delivery times vary by product type:
- Bamboo home goods shipped from our US warehouse — 3–7 business days
- Bamboo home goods shipped from our fulfillment partner (select items) — 7–15 business days
- Baby apparel, loveys, and soft accessories — 5–10 business days
- Gift baskets — 3–5 business days
During peak seasons like November and December please allow an additional 2–4 business days.
How much does shipping cost? We offer flat-rate shipping on all orders:
- All orders over $75 — Free (applied automatically at checkout, no code needed)
- Baby apparel and small accessories — $5.95
- Home goods and décor — $8.95
- Gift baskets — $9.95
Do you ship internationally? We currently ship within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, APO/FPO addresses, or internationally at this time.
How do I track my order? Once your order ships you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number. You can use this to check your delivery status at any time. Please allow up to 24 hours after receiving your shipping confirmation for tracking to become active. If you have not received a tracking email within 3 business days of your order please contact us at hello@thebamboonook.com.
Can you ship to a PO Box? Yes — we can ship to PO Boxes via USPS.
My order has not arrived — what should I do? If your tracking shows delivered but you have not received your package please check around your property and with neighbors first, and wait 24 hours as carriers occasionally mark packages as delivered early. If your package is still missing after 24 hours please contact us at hello@thebamboonook.com and we will work with the carrier to resolve it.
Will my order ship in one package? Some orders containing multiple products may ship separately from different locations. If this happens you will receive separate tracking numbers for each shipment.
Returns and refunds
What is your return policy? We accept returns on all unused, unwashed items within 30 days of your delivery date. Items must be in original condition with all tags attached. We do not charge any restocking fees.
Is return shipping free? No — return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Email us at hello@thebamboonook.com with your order number and the item you would like to return and we will send you instructions within 1 business day.
How do I start a return? Email us at hello@thebamboonook.com with your order number and the item you would like to return. We will reply within 1 business day with return instructions.
When will I receive my refund? Once we receive and inspect your return we will process your full refund to your original payment method within 1 business day. Please allow an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear depending on your bank.
My order arrived damaged — what do I do? We are so sorry to hear that. Please email us at hello@thebamboonook.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged item and your order number. We will send a replacement or issue a full refund — no return required.
Can I return baby clothing? Yes — all bamboo baby clothing and bedding must be completely unworn and unwashed with all original tags attached. For health and safety reasons we are unable to accept returns on any baby items that show signs of use or have had tags removed.
Can I return a gift basket? Gift baskets are assembled to order and are final sale. If your basket arrives damaged please contact us at hello@thebamboonook.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo and we will make it right.
Do you offer exchanges? We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. Simply return your item for a full refund and place a new order for the correct size or style.
Products and materials
What are your products made from? Our products are made from natural, sustainably sourced materials — primarily bamboo, with some products featuring bamboo cotton blends or bamboo viscose fabric. All materials are chosen for their natural durability, renewability, and safety.
Are your products food safe? Our bamboo kitchen products are made from natural bamboo with no toxic coatings or chemical treatments and are safe for food contact.
How do I care for bamboo products? For bamboo home and kitchen products: wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry immediately. Do not soak or leave in standing water. Occasional light oiling with food-safe mineral oil keeps bamboo smooth and extends its life. Not dishwasher safe.
How do I wash bamboo baby clothing? Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. Tumble dry on low or lay flat to dry. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Bamboo fabric softens beautifully with every wash.
Will bamboo crack or warp? High quality bamboo does not crack or warp under normal use. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or extreme heat. Wipe dry after use and your bamboo products will last for years.
Baby product safety
Is bamboo fabric breathable? Yes — bamboo fabric is breathable and lightweight, making it comfortable for year-round wear and overnight use.
Are your baby products free from plastic? Our bamboo baby clothing and bedding products contain no plastic fibers. They are made from bamboo viscose or bamboo cotton blends.
What does bamboo viscose mean? Bamboo viscose (also called bamboo rayon) is the most common bamboo fabric used in baby clothing. It is made by processing bamboo pulp into a soft, breathable fiber. Most reputable bamboo baby brands including ours use a blend of 90–96% bamboo viscose and 4–10% spandex — the small amount of spandex gives the fabric its stretch and helps garments hold their shape wash after wash.
Sizing and fit
How do I choose the right size for my baby? Use both your baby's height and weight together for the most accurate size. If your baby falls between two sizes we recommend sizing up. Our bamboo fabric has natural stretch and softens with every wash so the larger size will fit comfortably and last longer.
Do your baby clothes run true to size? Our bamboo zippy pajamas and bodysuits run true to US sizing. Rompers and sleepsuits may run slightly small — we recommend sizing up one size for those styles.

What if the size I ordered does not fit? No problem — simply return it within 30 days for a full refund. Email hello@thebamboonook.com and we will take care of you.
Sustainability and eco
Are your products sustainably sourced? Yes — every product we carry is made from natural sustainable materials including bamboo and bamboo blends. Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth. It grows back in 3–5 years without pesticides or replanting and produces more oxygen than most trees.
Why bamboo instead of plastic? Bamboo is naturally moisture resistant and does not crack, warp, or fade. It is a renewable resource that grows back quickly and requires no chemicals to grow. It does not end up in a landfill after a few months of use. Plastic does none of those things.
Is your packaging eco-friendly? We are committed to exploring more sustainable packaging options as our business grows. We are actively working toward more eco-friendly alternatives and will update our packaging policy as we reach new milestones.
Are you a certified sustainable brand? We are a small independent mom-owned business and currently do not hold a formal sustainability certification. We are committed to growing responsibly and choosing products that align with our eco values.
Orders and payments
What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal.
Can I change or cancel my order? Please contact us at hello@thebamboonook.com as soon as possible after placing your order. Once an order has been dispatched we are unable to cancel or modify it.
I entered the wrong shipping address — what do I do? Please contact us immediately at hello@thebamboonook.com. If your order has not yet shipped we will do our best to update the address. Once an order has been dispatched we are unable to redirect it.
Will I receive an order confirmation? Yes — you will receive an order confirmation email immediately after purchase, followed by a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number once your order ships. Please check your spam folder if you do not see these emails.
Is my payment information secure? Yes — all payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments powered by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
Do you charge sales tax? Massachusetts customers are charged 6.25% sales tax on applicable products as required by Massachusetts law. Bamboo baby clothing and bedding are tax exempt under Massachusetts law. Tax is calculated automatically at checkout.

What are your customer service hours? We respond to emails Monday through Friday. Emails received on weekends or US federal holidays will be responded to the following business day.
