Why I Ditched Plastic and Never Looked Back 🌿

I still remember the afternoon I sat on my kitchen floor surrounded by broken plastic bins and thought — enough.

It was not a dramatic moment. Nobody was watching. It was just me, a pile of cracked organizers that had lasted less than a year, and the quiet realization that I had bought and thrown away the same cheap plastic products more times than I could count. And every single time they ended up in the trash — and then in a landfill — I told myself I would do better next time.

Next time finally came the day I discovered bamboo.

I ordered my first bamboo drawer organizer almost by accident. It showed up and I remember pulling it out of the box and just — stopping. It was warm. It was smooth. Naturally hypoallergenic. Free from the synthetic fibers and chemical coatings that have absolutely no business being anywhere near a newborn.

I am not perfect at sustainable living. Nobody is. But switching from plastic to bamboo in our home has been one of the easiest changes we have ever made — and one of the ones I am most proud of.

It started with one drawer. Now it is the whole kitchen. The nursery. The living room shelves.
